Options for Social Automation
When it comes to social automation services, the search can be overwhelming. There are lots of options, both free and paid, that can help you set up scheduled social postings. We’ve tried a few ourselves and have compiled a list of three services that could be a good fit for your small business.
Easily the most popular social automation service, Hootsuite offers the basics. Analytics, scheduling and your timeline can easily be found on its home page. Hootsuite offers a free plan perfect for small business owners that includes 3 social profiles and up to 30 scheduled posts. The analytics portal on Hootsuite leaves a little to be desired, you can most likely gain the same insights from the social pages themselves. The best thing about Hootsuite is they have a huge selection of free courses on marketing, PR and social media.
Buffer offers a free plan exactly like Hootsuite, but doesn’t offer as many educational tools. The Buffer dashboard is much cleaner and much more aesthetically pleasing compared to Hootsuite. Their app makes posting on the go easy, but sometimes it does fail. If you choose Buffer make sure to double check your posts are going out when they should.
No free plan here, but it might be worth the money. HeyOrca has no limits on posts, users or storage like the other programs do. Copy and pasting is also a thing of the past with this program, you can duplicate a post and drag it to a new social channel. This platform is by far the most visually pleasing and tech savvy. Clients can log in directly to HeyOrca to review posts and even text your HeyOrca number with new content. HeyOrca would be best for a growing, fast-paced business with multiple interactive clients.
